Soulful Saturdays was dreamed up in 2024. Ashley and Julie were on the leadership team of the non-profit Greater Love Collective. When GLC stopped doing events, we had a desire to retain the strong social and community connections, but with a lighter planning lift. Our first event was in January 2025, and we’ve been thrilled to welcome both alumni of GLC and new friends we’ve made along the way.
There is no commercial motivation behind Soulful Saturdays. We keep it simple and plan a mix of events that sound interesting to us. If they sound interesting to you, join us!

Frequently Asked Questions
Are you selling something or affiliated with a church/other group?
No. We started as a group of women who met through a non-profit who wanted to keep the social connections going when that non-profit stopped holding events. We are an informal women’s social group where we get past small talk and can be fully ourselves.
Does everyone know each other?
Nope. We usually have at least one new person attend each month, and the depth of existing relationships varies widely. You are not walking into a clique of besties – we are thrilled to meet new people.
Is the group political?
Not specifically, but generally attendees lean liberal and open-minded. Being welcoming and kind is a baseline expectation.
Is there a membership fee?
No. Occasionally there will be an optional cost for an activity we do, like buying food/drinks you want at a venue. We try to keep the main events free or very accessible. If cost is ever an issue please reach out to Ashley or Julie. We have funds designated for this purpose and don’t want anyone to miss an event due to cost.
How many people usually come?
Average attendance is between 8 – 14 women. Events are small enough to feel personal and big enough to find people you really vibe with.
Do you have social media I can follow?
No, but we hope you’ll join our Signal group chat or sign up for emails below! Events are posted here and shared through those two channels. We organize this as a hobby, so we spend our limited time focused on the live interactions.
