Soulful Saturdays is a women’s group in Collin & Dallas counties that aims to build meaningful social connections, getting past small talk and into deeper topics. Our free events are relaxed and welcoming to nourish fun, personal growth, and friendships. Meetups are every 1st Saturday, usually around 2 hours long, and tend to be located along 75, between North Dallas and McKinney.
Join our group chat or email list to get updates.

10:00 am – Noon | Mudleaf Coffee in Plano
Kristie Cohen, our friend and a professional organizer (!!!), will give a behind-the-scenes look at the work she does to make spaces more enjoyable and livable. Expect practical, shame-free advice you can use the same day and lots of time to ask questions like, “Okay, but really… what percent of people fold their underwear?” or “I always misplace my _______. What’s the fix?”

**RSVP requested so we have enough seats for everyone. Please text or email ashnic@gmail.com with the names of attendees** | 14 seats still available
10:00 am – Noon | Union Coffee Dallas , 3705 Cedar Springs Rd, Dallas, TX 75219
In the 2nd Floor Conference Room (historic building – no elevator, please let Ashley or Julie know if this presents a challenge)
🩷🩷 Special Co-Ed Event! Attend on your own or bring a partner, adult child, parent, or trusted friend to start this important activity in a light, safe environment. 🩷🩷
Don’t fear the Reaper! Death Doula Britna Savarese will provide all the End-of-Life documents that you didn’t know you needed and talk about how to have the end we want. Britna will also provide notary service to ensure all the documents are completed in a way that is legally recognized.

11:00 am – 1:00 pm | Dallas Museum of Art
Followed by optional pay-your-own lunch at the DMA Cafe
See art through fresh eyes – each of us will take a different color or texture, then we’ll browse the museum. Capture photos of your assigned color. At the end, we’ll make digital collages of our photos and share them to see the same experience through different lenses.
Reserve Your Free Ticket In Advance: Tickets are free and can be reserved starting April 20 on the DMA website. Please reserve your own ticket. Tickets are also available at guest services the day of, but may be limited, so we recommend reserving in advance. After you arrive, meet us at the DMA café on the north end of the museum.
Getting There: DMA is a 1/2 mile walk from the St. Paul or Pearl/Arts District DART Stations. Underground parking at DMA is $20 for the day or free to members. Street parking is $2/hour using downtown meters. If you’d like to carpool, you can coordinate in the Signal group chat.
Special Exhibits: Special exhibits are separately ticketed. You are welcome to book these at your own cost.

10:00 am – Noon | Ashley’s House, Fairview (address shared via email/Signal chat)
A zine is a small, handmade magazine. We’ll each make a page or two – it can be anything: painting, collage, poetry, strong opinions, comics, whatever moves you. We’ll then combine them into one zine that will arrive in your mail a couple of weeks later!

8:00 am – 10:00 am | Boomer Jack’s, 5430 State Hwy 121, Plano
Followed by optional pay-your-own brunch at Honey Berry Cafe
**Pre-Registration Required**

🇺🇸🇺🇸 Special Family & Friends Event! This is organized by Feed the City and open to everyone. We’d love to meet your kids, family, and friends who don’t usually come to Soulful Saturdays. Please note the requested per-person food contribution. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
What better way to start Independence Day than with a service project to feed our neighbors? Feed the City will gather the food donations, and then we will volunteer side-by-side to pack the items into meals. Feed the City will take care of distributing the meals to people in need. Register and review the supply list at tangocharities.org/feed-the-city-plano.
Each attendee should bring enough supplies for 25-30 meals of the following items: Whole wheat or whole grain sliced bread; prepackaged turkey, chicken or ham deli meat; real (not processed) sliced cheese; Heinz yellow mustard; full size bags of chips (not snack size); cutie or halo tangerines; zip lock sandwich bags. Examples are on the registration website.

10:00 am – Noon | Ashley’s House, Fairview (address shared via email/Signal chat)
By popular demand! Bring 2-3 books and any other fun “book fair” type trinkets or stickers to give away as we shop the book fair we create from everyone’s contributions. Used, good condition items are the intent – no need to spend any money. What do you have lurking in closets, shelves, or drawers that is ready to go on to a good home? Check out Little Free Libraries near you if you need some books to contribute.
Also, bring any projects, your computer, crafts, or other tasks you haven’t been able to make time for. Body doubling is where you work on a task while someone else is present, and their presence seems to magically provide focus! We’ll body double, hang out, socialize – and knock out annoying tasks or get some hobby time in the company of friends. Wi-Fi and snacks will be available.
Events are on the 1st Saturday of each month.
