What Is Soulful Saturdays?

Soulful Saturdays is a women’s group in Collin & Dallas counties that aims to build meaningful social connections, getting past small talk and into deeper topics. Our free events are relaxed and welcoming to nourish fun, personal growth, and friendships. Meetups are every 1st Saturday, usually around 2 hours long, and tend to be located along 75, between North Dallas and McKinney.

Trivia & Yap

1:30 pm – 4:00 pm | Alamo Drafthouse Lake Highlands, Dallas
*Please note this is Labor Day weekend. At least four of us are planning to attend, so the event is on!*

Come socialize as we participate in trivia hosted by Geeks Who Drink. You don’t need to be a trivia pro to come have a good time. We’ll split up into teams of 6 but stick close together. Trivia is 2 hours, includes audio & video, and is meant to maximize entertainment. And there are prizes! Last time there were only 3 teams, so it was a chill, fun time.

PowerPoint Party: Cults, Cult Followings, and Should-Be-A-Cult

10:00 am – Noon | Ashley’s House, Fairview (address shared via email/Signal chat)

If you’d like to present, please sign up here. You are welcome to attend as audience only, there’s no requirement to present.

What’s a PowerPoint Party? Watch this YouTube Short.
Each person who wants to present gets 5 minutes to share a short slideshow on something loosely cult-related. THE KEYWORD IS LOOSELY! This can be an actual cult, something that has a cult following that you totally don’t get, or something you feel so passionate about, you think it deserves a cult! Teach us, make us laugh, or just share your strongly held opinion that you never have an outlet for! Don’t take it too seriously.

Psychedelics – What’s the Deal?

10:00 am – Noon | Ashley’s House, Fairview (address shared via email/Signal chat)

Lynn McCracken – licensed psychotherapist with certification & advanced training in psychedelic therapy, singer-songwriter, and Soulful Saturday friend – will lead a discussion on psychedelics. This will be a wide-ranging conversation including personal stories, scientific information, and the latest on promising research and legal status. Psychedelics are a proven medicine with a resurgence in scientific interest, and whether you’d ever consider trying them or not, it’s a health-related topic that is changing how the world thinks about mental health, personal growth, and creativity. Bring your questions or send them in advance here.

The Brain Trust

10:00 am – Noon | Ashley’s House, Fairview (address shared via email/Signal chat)

The Brain Trust is a chance to bring a challenge, idea, or opportunity you’ve been thinking about to a room of brilliant friends who want to help. It can be anything: asking for recommendations of favorite stores or trusted vendors, advice on navigating a work or family situation, testing out a creative idea you have – if it’s on your mind, it’s welcome. Each person will have 2 minutes to share the topic they’re thinking about, followed by 7 minutes of thoughtful feedback, questions, and encouragement from the group. Whether you come to share or simply listen, you’ll leave with a fresh perspective and new connections.

Save the Dates!

In 2027, events will be on the SECOND Saturday of each month.
